In 1991, David Nichols, Sr. started Nichols Fleet Equipment in a one-room office trailer with rented shop space nearby for his first installations. Since those early days, David has been joined by his two sons, David, Jr. and Nick, and the company is rapidly growing! We're proud of our history and excited about our future. Located in Chattanooga, TN, we're thrilled to be celebrating over 30 years in business!
The History
When David Nichols Sr. started Nichols Fleet Equipment Inc. failure wasn't an option. He had many years of experience building and later selling service trucks, and when his employer closed its doors, he had to decide how to best provide for a young family. Wanting to do so in his hometown of Chattanooga, David started NFE in 1991, and he hasn't looked back since.
