New Elliott Units Rolling Out
NFE & Elliott Equipment Co.
A Long Partnership of Excellence
One of our longest-standing manufacturer partnerships has been with Elliott Equipment Co. Over the course of our 25 year relationship, we have sold their "HiReach" aerial lifts and boom trucks to customers across many industries. Whether it's sign & lighting companies, large utilities, or mines, heavy equipment dealers & quarries servicing large machinery, our customers recognize the quality of the products that come out of Omaha. And as with all of our trucks, we like to take great products and make them better by working with our customers on an individual basis to customize each unit to their needs, thus making their jobs faster, safer, and more profitable.
This week, we completed work on a 5-unit order that showcases some very impressive Elliott units bound for heavy utility work. This order consisted of two of Elliott's E120 120' aerial lifts and three of Elliott's D105 digger derricks, all mounted up on powerful Western Star 4800 tandem chassis. New to the market, the D105 is "Elliott's first ANSI 10.31 digger errick and is specifically designed for utility transmission line construction and maintenance work. Mounted on a tandem axle chassis, the D105 Digger Derrick boasts a 107’ sheave height, 20,000 ft-lbs of digger torque, and a 41' maximum digging radius. The unit is equipped with Elliott’s high pin point geometry allowing for maximum power out of the hole, a heavy-duty piston pump, and an ergonomic seated control console."
With plenty of competition in the digger derrick market, Elliott really did their homework before bringing these units to market, and the result is a very impressive unit that met all of our customer's needs. We'll look forward to sharing more photos of these units out in the field getting dirty.
As always, we added some nice custom features to these units-- note the catwalks, cribbing boxes, and Hannay hydraulic hose reel protection system, all of which were designed and installed by the NFE team. We're very proud of how these units came out, and we know our customer will be pleased with their performance in the field.
